Submission Deadlines and Cut-off Dates for three 2026 Funding Measures suspended –
At the beginning of September 2026, the Bundesministerium für Forschung, Technologie und Raumfahrt (BMFTR) announced that, as part of a reorientation of its funding activities in the field of Quantum Technologies, three submission deadlines and cut-off dates scheduled for late 2026 will not take place. The measures affected are:
- “Enabling Technologies for Resilient R&D Supply Chains in Quantum Technologies” (deadline for submissions: 30 September 2026); the funding programme will not be continued and ends with immediate effect.
- “Scientific Pre-Projects: Photonics and Quantum Technologies” (deadline for submissions: 15 December 2026); the funding programme is suspended but remains in place.
- “Quantum International” (deadline for submissions: 15 November 2026); the funding programme is suspended.
Projects that have already been selected are not affected by these changes. Further information on the funding measures is available here.
