Announcement for the Funding of Pre-Projects on the Subject "Photonics and Quantum Technologies":
The Bundesministerium für Forschung, Technologie und Raumfahrt (BMFTR) plans to fund so-called “Wissenschaftliche Vorprojekte” (WiVoPro) in the field of photonics and Quantum Technologies. The aim of these preliminary projects is to investigate scientific issues with regard to future industrial applications in photonics and Quantum Technology. They are intended to supplement existing research funding and build a bridge between basic research and industry-led collaborative funding. Further information on the funding call can be found here.
Deadline for submissions
15 June and 15 December of each year
The next deadline (15 December 15 2026) will not be observed due to a realignment of funding activities in the field of Quantum Technologies; however, the funding guidelines remain in effect.
